As you may have heard, the province announced that all classes in K-12 schools will be suspended until further notice due to the COVID19 Pandemic. The division remains operational and staff will continue to do their work to support student learning.
Earlier this afternoon, EPSB trustees, along with other metro boards and administration had an opportunity to voice our concerns to Dr. Hinshaw & Minister LaGrange about student safety.
I want to thank Minister LaGrange and Dr. Hinshaw for hearing these concerns and making the right decision.
At this time, EPSB is working on options to support student learning in various ways including the possibility of distance or online learning.
